The first week of our Children's Summer School will consist of five one-day Taster Sessions dedicated to expanding the children's knowledge of German language and culture. We welcome all children between ages 5 and 14. Each day will have a fun workshop on a different aspect of German language and involve a different creative activity, appealing to different age groups.
The Taster Sessions aren’t based on each other, so the children can attend any of the workshops that suit their age group.

Our Little Farm
Meet the animals and learn about the life on a typical German farm!
9.30 – 12.00 am: 5-8 years
1.30 – 4.00 pm: 8-10 years
Tuesday, July 17th: Was für ein Zirkus!
What a Blast!
Let’s celebrate the German carnival with games and songs to sing along!

Wednesday, July 18th: Es war einmal das Rotkäppchen und die sieben Zwerge…
Once upon a time… little Red Riding Hood and the Seven Dwarfs.
Get to know the world of German fairy tales like ‘Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten’ (The Town Musicians of Bremen) or ‘Hänsel und Gretel’.
9.30 -12.00 am: 6-9 years
1.30 – 4.00 pm: 10-12 years
Thursday, July 19th: Deutschland, Österreich & die Schweiz entdecken
Discover Germany, Austria and Switzerland!
Learn about the different regions and their distinctions, for example the ‘Wiener Walzer’ (Viennese waltz), traditional regional food, rituals, sights and songs.
10.00 am – 4.00 pm: 11-14 years
Friday, July 20th: Wir gehen auf eine Schatzsuche!
Let’s go on a treasure hunt!
Discover German, Austrian and Swiss sights and traditions in a treasure hunt.
9.30 – 12.00 am: 8-10 years
1.30 – 3.00 pm:
Finally, we will have a get together reception with an ‘Elfmeterschießen’ (penalty shoot out” tournament) - all participants of taster sessions welcome!
